Houston Bernard

Born in Oklahoma, Houston is a direct descendant of famous gunfighter George “Bittercreek” Newcomb, a member of the infamous Wild Bunch and a most-wanted man in the 1890s. More recently, Houston's father and uncle played in country bands with stars like Tanya Tucker and Sleepy Labeef. The two men were a staple in the Nashville and Oklahoma Country music scenes known as The Rebel Brothers. They regularly crossed paths and swapped stories with the likes of Elvis Presley, Merle Haggard, Kiss, Willie Nelson and more in the 1970s.Houston draws musical inspiration from his family’s rockabilly and country roots mixed with the passion and enthusiasm of a well rounded show with heart felt ballads and dancing til you drop party anthems.

Patrick Dalton is an All-American good ole’ boy who has lived and breathed in the Midwest, the South, and the beautiful Historic east coast of the greatest country on earth…the USA!!! He has played drums for over 15 years, studying under private instructors, Berklee college of music, and cold hard life experience. Patchaz prides himself on pumping love and positive energy into each and every performance. Whether its writing songs, playing drums, hyping audiences, or providing firm handshakes, Patchaz contributes a heartbeat that is relentless and infectious to the Houson Bernard Band…boom, boom…boom, boom!

As far as we know, Sam Crawford grew up in Berkshire County, Massachusetts. His first guitar love was blues music. In his teenage years he played guitar til he had blues in his face and blisters on his fingers. He started playing country music sometime in the mid 2000s.  He studied jazz and classical music in College, with a minor in philosophy, to keep his ears and his mind open while he trained his brain for the fretboard game. Upon moving to Boston, he befriended two future members of the Houston Bernard Band, bassist Jameson Stewart and keyboardist Ben Blanchard. Together they sought out new musical opportunities and became good friends in the process. Today Sam plays mostly lead guitar in the Houston Bernard Band, but he's been known to play rhythm guitar, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, resonator, loud or soft guitar, slide guitar . . . whatever kind of guitar needs playing! He also covers vocal harmonies and between five and ten square feet of stage depending on the night. He puts his eclectic background to use with the HBB on stage, in the studio, or in writing and rehearsal sessions.

Blan Blan was raised by wolves on the frozen tundra of Canada. He learned to play the keyboard by arranging small stones on the ground and smashing them to bits with his bare hands, or is it bear hands? It's hard to tell the difference when the man is in the middle of a searing organ solo, Leslie spinning and drawbars sliding in and out like the pulsating organs of the wild beasts in the springtime who kept him from starving to death and showed him how to survive the harsh landscape that, even now, beckons his furry, frosty soul back to the awesome stillness and the petrifying cold. The swoosh and the preoww of the untamed Blan Blan will chill you to the bone and make you cream your knickers, for it is good, and it is orgasmic.

Hi, I'm Jameson, and I play the bass and mandolin for the Houston Bernard band. I grew up in the Bay Area of California, and played in bands through middle and high school. I traveled to Boston to pursue a music career, and helped to form the Houston Bernard band with the other fellas.
